Annie (Anna-Lou) Leibovitz was born on 2nd of October 1949 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She moved to the Philippines where she took her first photos. During high school she was interested in playing music and writing plays. She went to the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied painting. Annie returned to the United States in 1970 and started her career as a photographer working for the Rolling Stone magazine. In the 1980s, Annie's new style of lighting and poses got her a position with Vanity Fair magazine.
This Series of Photography was taken in 2007. The Walt Disney Company hired her to do a series of photographs with celebrities in various roles and scenes for Disney Parks " Year of a Million Dreams" campaign. She has used well known celebrities such as Russell Brand, Johnny Depp and Jennifer Lopez. Some of these photos are made to look like they have been painted.
This is the Alice in wonderland series taken for Vogue in 2003.
